‘The Munsters’ is getting a reboot at NBC

the-munsters-yvonne-de-carlo-0.jpgYes, we can already hear some of you howling. Another reboot? Yes, it’s official. According to Deadline, NBC is going to reboot the 1960’s comedy, “The Munsters.”

If you don’t recall, Grandpa Sam Dracula creates Herman Munster because no one is good enough for his vampire daughter Lily. Their young son Eddie is a werewolf and cousin Marilyn, a stunning beauty by ordinary standards, is considered to be a freak.

Well, vampires and werewolves are all the rage these days. If you’re still groaning, we have some good news for you. “Pushing Daisies” creator Bryan Fuller is behind this one. At least we know it will be visually beautiful. Probably pretty quirky too. If you’re not ready to revisit 1313 Mockingbird Lane, Fuller also has a show called “Hannibal,” based on the Hannibal Lecter character.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this. Are you sick of reboots? Are you excited to see anything from Fuller? Who would you like to see cast? Let us know below.
