@lifeluva420 Well, think of what those Muppets have gone through. The Originals went through 5 years of constant filming for a TV show, plus many movies, both in and out of theaters. So they would have to be replaced sometime or other. I’ve had my own Muppet (custom made in NYC) for about 2 years and he already is starting to wear down!

OMG i can’t wait to see this movie! i’m not a fan of that guy who’s in the lead, but he’s gotta be ok if he’s bringing back the MUPPETS! i grew up watching them, and kermit is my favorite! who cares of disney bought them, as long as they stay true to the old way of their behaviors, which it looks like they are going to do! amy adams should do fabulous in the part, she’s so amazing! really, stop complaining and enjoy the movie! if you don’t want to see it, then don’t! but i can’t wait!

@SuperGamingFTW Disney has had the Muppets since Jim Henson was still sick with cancer. What happened though was in the middle of last decade Henson’s family successfully bought back the Muppets and that’s when what we’re seeing now and all the rest, toys, episode DVD’s, etc. all made a powerhouse return to the market. So Disney, apparently sensing this, must have sometime in the recent past bought back the Muppets again but this time seem to know what they’ve been missing with all properties.

Okay, so we don’t have Jim Henson. We don’t have Frank Oz (retired). We don’t have Richard Hunt or Jerry Nelson. But do ya know what we DO have? The puppeteers that live on through them! The heck I say to those who see only stiff and stale interpretations by Steve Whitmire and Eric Jacobson! Sure, it ain’t the same as Jim or Frank, but we should be happy that The Muppets are finally getting the ”Hannah Montana” treatment! Long live The Muppets and long live the possible success of this movie!

@MiamoSilver Oh yes, I forgot to add that Jerry Nelson is ALSO retired. The deceased are Richard and Jim. May they rest in peace.
