Norman Reedus promised us we’d learn more about Daryl Dixon, the character he plays on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” during the show’s second season. Based on this sneak peek clip, he’s ready to dish about his childhood. We’re thinking the whole using “Poison Oak as toilet paper” thing was a little TMI, but we do learn that Daryl himself, like Sophia, once got lost in the Georgia woods as a child.
In the clip, he tells Andrea (Laurie Holden) about his 9-day ordeal and how he survived despite the lack of a search party or even any concern from his drunk father or uber-redneck older brother, Merle.
We’re not quite sure why Daryl and Andrea would be wandering through the woods at night, casually trading stories since there are, you know, zombies in these here parts. But, the joke’s on them, because at the end of the clip they do come face-to-face with a walker. Sort of.
Season 2, episode 3 — “Save the Last One” — airs Sunday, Oct. 30, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
