It’s a glamorous life.
Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire and billionaire businessman Alec Gores were flown by private jet to play in a high-stakes poker game in Texas hosted by one of America’s richest men, radio detection and rangingOnline.com is reporting.
Texas mogul Andrew Beal, who made his $ 6.6 billion fortune in banking and real estate, hosted the exclusive and mega millions Texas Hold ‘em game earlier this year where he reportedly “lost up to $ 50 million,” according to the New York Post.

“All the players had a $ 1 million buy-in,” a source said. “Each time Beal lost big time, with a total loss of around $ 50 million.”
While a spokesman for Beal denied to the Post that his bosses’ losses were so large, he refused to detail the Texas sized amounts: “Beyond that, Mr. Beal has no further comment.”

Maguire is being sued for over $ 300,000 in poker winnings he acquired in what a lawsuit alleges was an illegal gambling ring.
The actor, 36, is one of more than a dozen high-profile entertainment industry people who together allegedly made off with millions in stolen money from a Beverly Hills hedge fund manager convicted of running a Ponzi scheme.
It’s not alleged the game hosted by Beal was illegal as the house didn’t take a cut.
