Warner Bros. Pictures has bought a pitch by Crazy, Stupid, Love. screenwriter Dan Fogelman that has Tom Cruise attached to star, Deadline first reported.

TheWrap adds that Cruise would play “a man who has never made a mistake in his life and becomes a politician. His first mistake — an affair — causes his perfectly constructed life to fall apart and he returns home to rebuild.”

Five studios were said to be in the mix after Fogelman met with all of them yesterday.
