Tommy Lee Jones has joined the cast of Captain America: The First Avenger.

The No Country For Old Men Oscar winner will take on the role of Colonel Chester Phillips in the superhero movie — which is currently in production in Britain under the direction of lensman Joe Johnston. Jones joins star Chris Evans and a cast including Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, and Stanley Tucci. The First Avenger will tell the tale of the early days of Steve Rogers, who takes part in an underground programme for the US military – leading him to become Captain America.
