Just three months after he was fired from hit ABC drama Scandal, Columbus Short was arrested on July 4.
According to reports, the troubled actor, 37, was celebrating Independence Day with drinks at Dallas bar Katy Trail Ice House when he began fighting with security guards.
Though he allegedly began attacking the guards, he was arrested for public intoxication— not assault.

“[Columbus], who appeared intoxicated, walked into the room with a wine bottle and stared at me threateningly. He then charged me, grabbed the phone, and started yelling at me abusively,” Tanee recounted of the incident in court documents. “He then pinned me on the couch and began to choke me. He placed the knife close to my neck and threatened to kill me and then kill himself.”
