CineFix is at it again with another homemade movie trailer — this time presenting a cardboard and action figure-friendly remake of the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (in theaters May 2). California-based animator and musician Dustin McLean of DustFilms directed the trailer, which is a shot-for-shot re-cut made without any crazy special effects — just a lot of elbow grease and love. There’s something warm and fuzzy about hearing a bunch of grown men hum the music for the trailer and seeing miniature Spidey on a string fly through the air. Dig in!
For an even bigger superhero fix, top things off with these seven superhero facts that will stump even the biggest fans — also from CineFix. We don’t want to give away all the secrets of this clip, but there are some doozies. Did you know the word “superhero” is actually trademarked? Or that Spidey has been hiding a big secret since a 1984 issue? Also, why did they have to make Hulk built like a creepy Ken doll? He deserves better, man. Find out in this informative four-minute clip.
