Watch: Scarlett Johansson Gets Rowdy With Her Friends in Red-Band 'Rough Night' Trail…

If you love Bridesmaids but thought it could use a little more death, then Rough Night is the movie for you.

Like the 2011 Oscar-nominated comedy, this one is also about a bunch of female friends getting together ahead of a wedding, and it features one of the stars of Saturday Night Live. Check out its new NSFW red band trailer plus more info below.

When it comes out: June 16

Who is in it: Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Zoe Kravitz, Ilana Glazer, Jillian Bell, Demi Moore, Ty Burell

What it’s about: Formerly known as Rock That Body, the movie follows five old friends from college reuniting in Miami for a bachelorette party, which goes terribly wrong when their stripper is accidentally killed. Much like the 1990s black comedy Very Bad Things but with a gender reversal, the group chooses not to call the police, and dark hijinks ensue.

How is the new trailer: The first Red Band trailer isn’t quite as crazy as expeced, with only a few swears here and a bit of thrown up alcohol there. But the movie itself is also probably not the sort of stupid raunchiness and slapstick we usually get from this sort of thing. Its script comes from two Broad City writer-producers, Paul W. Downs, who is also in the movie as Johansson’s fiance, and Lucia Aniello, who is also making her directorial debut here. And it features Broad City co-creator and star Illana Glazer, so it should be silly but also fairly smart. At least that’s our hope. One thing of note that is interesting is that all the main characters are loosely based amalgams of Aniello’s own good friends, with McKinnon specifically based on an Australian woman named Pippa.

What other people are saying about it:

“So far, I’m not impressed by the comedy on display, despite the presence of outstanding talent like Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer and Kate McKinnon offering up laughs. But this is just the first trailer, so maybe they’re holding back some of the good stuff so they can set up the dark premise.” – Ethan Anderton, /Film

“These two minutes alone showcase the immense and unique talents of Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, Scarlett Johansson, Zoë Kravitz, and Kate McKinnon…The appeal here is simple but strong: Getting five very funny actresses together, and letting them run wild. Count us in.” – David Canfield, Slate

“Beyond the great cast, you had me at ‘from the writers of Broad City.’ And while the movie is definitely part of a new movement for studios to produce ‘raunchy female comedies,’ this does look like it could be genuinely very funny, even if it is playing off of the old ‘our party got so crazy we accidentally killed a prostitute! Shoulda stayed in the suburbs!'” – Allison Keene, Collider
