“Spartacus: Vengeance” is the second season of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand,” featuring Liam McIntyre stepping into the Spartacus sandals after the tragic death of star Andy Whitfield, 39, from cancer back in September.
Watch this sneak peek clip, which features McIntyre introducing the opening scene of the first episode. “Vengeance” will follow Spartacus and the rest of the gladiators after they kill their master Batiatus and escape from his gladiatorial training school.

Returning characters from “Blood and Sand” include Lucy Lawless as Lucretia, Viva Bianca as Ilithyia, Craig Parker as Gaius Claudius Glaber, Peter Mensah as Oenomaus, Manu Bennett as Crixus, Nick Tarabay as Ashur and Dustin Clare will reprise the role of Gannicus from the prequel season “Gods of the Arena.”
“Spartacus: Vengeance” premieres Friday, Jan. 27 on STARZ.
