#What2Watch: Tuesday’s 5 must-see shows

For Tuesday’s (Sept. 27) must-see shows, there’s a familiar face returning to “Scream Queens,” a favorite Comedy Central show is back and there are two series premieres for people who love apocalypse dramas and/or cooking shows. Plus, “This Is Us” is there for you if you need a good cry Tuesday night.

Here are our choices for five must-watch TV shows for Tuesday.

‘Scream Queens,’ 9 p.m., FOX

Denise Hemphill (Niecy Nash) is back, y’all! After another run-in with the new killer, Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) calls in her old friend Denise — who is now an FBI special agent. Amazing.

‘Aftermath’ series premiere, 10 p.m., Syfy

If post-apocalyptic TV shows and movies are your bag, look no further than Syfy’s latest show. “Aftermath” follows the Copeland family, led by Anne Heche and James Tupper (who have been together in real life since 2007) as they navigate the world after natural disasters and a rise of supernatural beings topples civilization.

‘This Is Us,’ 10 p.m., NBC

Get your hankies ready because the second episode of “This Is Us” is no less of a tearjerker than the premiere. In “The Big Three,” Rebecca (Mandy Moore) and Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) struggle with raising three children, while Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) questions the motives of Randall’s (Sterling K. Brown) bio dad.

‘Drunk History’ Season 4 premiere, 10:30 p.m., Comedy Central

Season 4 of this hilarious historical show returns with an escape-themed episode — Timothy Leary escapes from prison, a baker escapes the Titanic and there is a daring rescue made at the penal colony known as Devil’s Island.

‘Star Plates’ series premiere, 11 p.m., Food Network

Get ready for your newest cooking show craze. On “Star Plates,” celebrity guests head into the kitchens of famous restaurants to work as a line cook, side by side with a famous chef. The premiere features “Mindy Project” star and creator Mindy Kaling and subsequent episodes feature Erin Andrews, Colin Hanks, Alyson Hannigan, Minka Kelly and Busy Phillips.
