Will a bout of bronchitis and laryngitis keep Rihanna sidelined from Sunday’s 2011 Grammys?
The “Umbrella” pop tart has spent the week battling the upper respiratory infection and was even forced to cancel a five track performance at the Unforgettable Evening Gala on Thursday. She was replaced by “Forget You” rapper/singer Cee-Lo Green at the Women’s Cancer Research Fund charity event in Los Angeles. Green used the gig to warm up his voice and his four-piece, all-female band for his own Grammy performance.
Despite being sick and shut-in, RiRi’s vowed to do everything she can to get back in fighting form before music’s biggest night. After all, her popular single “Only Girl (In the World)” has been nominated for Best Dance Recording, while “Love The Way You Lie,” her charttopping duet with Eminem, is up for three Grammys at this weekend’s show.
“Bronchitis and laryngitis boo! I’m still goin to (Grammy) rehearsals tho! Sunday is everything,” the Barbadian Tweeted Thursday.
