Willie Nelson will soon have a street in Austin, Texas named after him.

Last week, the city’s council voted to rename a section of Second Street in Downtown Austin, Willie Nelson Boulevard, The Austin American-Statesman reports.

A life-size statue of the country singer may also be erected. The country-western legend hails from Abbott, Texas and has lived near Austin for almost 40 years.

Nelson — who celebrated his 77th birthday last month — recently shocked fans by chopping off his waist-deep, reddish pigtails in favor of a chin-length bob.
