Andi Dorfman is the true winner of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’
The only viewers of Monday’s (Aug. 15) “Bachelor in Paradise” who weren’t on their phones ordering Andi Dorfman’s tell-all book were those who have already read it.
The former “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” star is the true winner of “Paradise” and she’s not even there! The already best-selling memoir, “It’s Not Okay, Turning Heartbreak into Happily Never After,” was the talk of the town — especially after Josh claimed everything written about him was “fictional.”

By definition, a memoir is never “fictional.” But, regardless, it isn’t easy to side with Josh — the guy who keeps claiming God’s reasoning as an answer to everything. That reasoning gets old quick. You can’t keep referencing God’s predestined plan every time you’re emotionally abusive. It’s — dare we say — blasphemy.
So, what did Josh’s former fiancee write that has him in such a tizzy? As excerpted from US Weekly, the man’s simply referred to as No. 26 — as “a girl power thing” — for such a sad sack of a man “doesn’t need a name.” Dorfman doesn’t mince words when looking back on her relationship with Josh. She writes that it was “the most volatile and fucked up relationship of my life.”
But things weren’t always horrible. “The best night of my life was the first night I spent with number Twenty-Six” she writes. “Let’s just say yes, he got it up; yes, it was great.”
Things quickly went sour after Nick Viall outed her for sleeping with him on their overnight date, something Dorfman hadn’t yet admitted to Josh. “That one sexual escapade would become a power play used by my fiance to justify his mistrust in me. It would be his excuse to call me ‘a whore.’ And it would eventually lead to the demise of my engagement.”

In addition to the feelings of jealousy, Dorfman says he called her “selfish” for wanting to return to work. And after one final attempt to restore their relationship — by taking a trip to Los Angeles for Chris Soules’ birthday party — the two called it quits. In an attempt to defend himself on “Paradise,” Josh tells Evan that his ex’s words are fabricated and that he “prays for her happiness.”
If Josh really wanted revenge, dismissing the topic entirely would’ve not only been the high road, but the smarter choice. Showing the world how you fell in love with your future fiance would be a dish served cold to the still single Dorfman.
Instead Dorfman must have watched this episode with a celebratory bottle of champagne. Talk about a huge heaping pile of free publicity! If she was still wondering whether she let “the one” truly get away … those doubts have permanently been squashed. And with that weight lifted, she’s probably laughing all the way to the bank.
“Bachelor in Paradise” airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
