‘Being Tyler Posey’: ‘Teen Wolf’ star defends getting married so young in MTV documentary

We know him best as Scott McCall on
“Teen Wolf” but Tyler Posey decided to give fans a viewers an inside look at his personal life in a 45 minute documentary “Being Tyler Posey” on MTV. Watching him ride motorcycles with his dad, hang out with his family and plan his upcoming wedding just served to confirm that Tyler Posey is one of the most adorable humans on the planet.

Things got emotionally trying when Tyler sat down one on one with his mother, who has been battling breast cancer for over four years. “This is just a challenge we met head on, but we’ve never let it get us down,” Mama Posey says through tears. “The hardest part was having to tell my boys that I have breast cancer. I didn’t want them to be scared.”

“I think you’ve been the strongest out of anyone,” Tyler replies. “All I want is for you to feel love.”

Of course, T-Pose made time for boys to be boys when he makes time to go skateboarding with his brother Jesse and his friend Dan. Tyler shows he’s always down to be a good bro when Dan announces his default picture on Tinder with the TV star has done really well for him. “Does it really help with the ladies?” Posey questions as if he doesn’t already know, “That’s all I could want for you man.” Queue the bro-high five here.

The main focus throughout the documentary though is Tyler’s upcoming nuptials to childhood friend turned love of his life Seana Gorlick. Everyone from his parents to his friends weigh in — though all seem to be in agreement that as long as it’s what Tyler wants they support it. Posey reveals that he’s heard the critics saying they are too young (Posey is only 22) to be tying the knot, but he’s a successful actor and more settled than most people his age, so why not? From the sounds of the stories of his friends Posey hasn’t had much of an attention span for other girls anyway.

“I understand why people who don’t know us personally think we are too young.People who know us are like ‘Yeah that makes sense,'” Seana explains as she and Tyler drive out to lunch.

“All I know is that I’m going to look in your eyes and the sound is going to go away and then I’m going to cry,” Tyler gushes as the adorable couple eats.

While Posey tries his best to make it seem like he’s just living a normal life — there’s no escaping the fact that “Teen Wolf” has made him a heart throb. Even when he’s grabbing a pastry with his fiance he can’t avoid the giggling stares of nearby teenage girls. He’s always willing to take a picture though, even if he’s eating.

“The last few years have been an adventure and I feel really lucky to be doing a job I love, surrounded by amazing friends and family,” Tyler concludes. “I can’t wait to get married to Seana and see what happens next.”

If you want more Tyler Posey don’t forget to tune into the Season 4 finale of “Teen Wolf” airing Sept. 8 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
