U2 was planning a concert on July 9th in North Miami and had to finally call it off as the lead singer of the band; Bono underwent an emergency surgery for his back injury. The doctors say that the singer need to rest for at least 8 weeks and so there was no other option for the band but to cancel their concert. The band had to postpone 16 of their shows which were to be held from June 3 to July 19. Paul McGuiness, U2’s manager says that the singer is very much sad and feels that he has let his band and fans down. McGuiness said that the most important thing for Bono is to take full rest and recover from his injury as soon as possible.
