A year has passed after Farrah Fawcett’s death. The whole O’Neal family, namely Redmond, Tatum and Ryan, decided to commemorate the star’s anniversary of death on Friday and visited her grave in Las Angeles.

Fawcett’s son Redmond who is currently 25 years old was given one-day permit to leave a sober living institution where he is obliged by court order to undergo drug rehab.

Redmond was present at The Farrah Fawcett Foundation opening on Friday and shared with PEOPLE: that had been for the first time when he visited his mother’s gravesite. This foundation was established to fund methods, particularly alternative ones, of cancer research. The son added that he misses his mom so much but he is relieved that doesn’t suffer any more and keep on caring about them all from heaven.

Ryan added about his own feelings concerning that grief that he would want to talk to her as she had been his companion for more than a quarter of the century. It still hurts him to acknowledge that she passed away. He sighs that he is unaware how Redmond is coping with this tragedy as he keeps silent about it. Ryan suspects Farrah Fawcett’s son to suffer terribly.
