‘Fringe’ ratings up a tick after renewal
With a fifth and final season secured, Fox’s Fringe ratings were up slightly in the preliminary numbers Friday night.
Fringe perked up to 3.1 million viewers and 1.1 in the adult demo, though that’s still well within the drama’s usual fluctuation range. NBC’s 9 p.m. rival Grimm (4.5 million, 1.4) was unchanged and CSI: NY (8.9 million, 1.4) was lower than its last airing. CW’s Supernatural (1.5 million, 0.6) was down a tenth (despite a good episode title: “The Girl with the Dungeons & Dragons Tattoo”).
At 8 p.m., the return of CBS’ Undercover Boss (7.1 million, 1.6) and ABC’s Shark Tank (5.4 million, 1.4) to originals didn’t help Fox’s The Finder (3.9 million, 1.1), though all were down slightly compared to their more recent new episodes. CW’s Nikita (0.4) was unchanged. At 10 p.m., CBS had the return of Blue Bloods (10.2 million, 1.4), which was down a bit.
