Hurricane Sandy not forcing Jimmy Kimmel to cancel Brooklyn shows (yet)
A rep for the show tells Entertainment Weekly, “We are bringing in back-up generators and will be able to do our
show in the event of a power failure. We are also flying staff and crew out earlier to beat the
storm. We have had no audience drop-outs so far despite news of the
storm.”
The week’s schedule of guests includes Chris Rock, Kelly Ripa, Alicia Keys, Howard Stern, Tracy Morgan, Sharon Jones & the
Dap-Kings, David Letterman, Vampire Weekend, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and the Avett Brothers featuring the
Brooklyn Philharmonic.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has ordered subway service in the city to be shut down starting at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28.
In addition, production has been halted on the NYC-based sets of “The Good Wife,” “Blue Bloods,” “Elementary,” “666 Park Avenue,” “The Carrie Diaries,” “The Following,” “Golden Boy,” “Gossip Girl,” “Person of Interest” and the pilot “The Secret Lives of Wives,” confirms Hollywood.com. There’s no word on whether the shutdown will affect air dates at all.
