Oops — she did it again! A mere two months after pouncing the President of the United States in a faceoff for the most Facebook friends, Lady Gaga’s left another pop culture icon “Speechless.”

Over the weekend, the “Alejandro” singer stole the crown for most-followed Tweeter from former Twitter queen Britney Spears. Gaga has officially surpassed the number of followers held by Britney, making her number one on the world’s leading social networking website.

On Friday evening, Gaga surged into the lead, netting 5,694,147 followers to Britney’s 5,685,390 — a difference of nearly 9,000 users. The move came only three months after Spears usurped the most-followed Twitter user crown from actor/comedian Ashton Kutcher.

The self-proclaimed ‘GaGaTwitterQueen’ celebrated the occassion by teasing her fans with a photo of her with Gene Simmons and the band KISS. “KISS the Queen,” she wrote after taking the top spot. Gene Simmons has previously reffered to Lady Gaga as “the female version” of his group.

“I love the vibe, the big mouth and the big visuals. She’s the most exciting thing to happen since us. She’s a female version of us.”

It was only last month that Lady Gaga became the first living individual in the earth to have 10 million fans on Facebook. Since that time, the “Poker Face” hitmaker has added 600,000 new followers to her Twitter account.
