According to the recent new Leonardo DiCaprio has decided to join his forced along with the World Wildlife Foundation in order to create “Save Tigers Now.” It is considered to be an awareness campaign. It turned out that only 3,200 tigers are left in the wild world and they are on the brink of extinction.

As 2010 is the year of the Tiger, the organization is not only trying to find ways in order to raise $20 million to protect the feline, but also it is looking for ways to double their population by the year of 2022, which is considered to be the next year of the tiger.

According to DiCaprio, tigers are important for the most critical ecosystems. With the help of key conservation efforts it will be possible to save the tiger species as well as some wild habits of the planet. If people start protecting the iconic species, a lot of can be saved.
