Oprah Winfrey is O — No, really.
The Queen of Talk is lending her famous voice to Sesame Street for the first time in her 35 years in broadcasting. Winfrey will drop in as the voice of the animated letter “O” — who interviews guests such as “Otto the Orangutan” and “Ophelia the Octopus” — in a parody of her longrunning daytime talk show when Sesame Street Season 41 premieres on Public Television Monday, Sept. 27.
Winfrey is tickled-pink (How’s that for an Oprah-ism?) to finally join forces with the award-winning classic program designed especially for pre-schoolers, Harpo producers said Monday. Oprah’s just one in a line of notable stars set to appear in skits and sing-a-longs with Big Bird, Elmo, Grover (My personal fave!), and the rest of the residents of Sesame Street this year. Reggie Bush, Usher, Katy Perry, Jude Law, Colin Farrell, and will.i.am will also be featured on the new season of the series.
Kid-friendly parodies of TV’s vampire-themed drama True Blood and Robert Downey Jr.’s action hit Iron Man are on tap too!
