Prince George and Princess Charlotte Wave Goodbye to Canada After Making "Happy" Fami…
And just like that, Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s trip to Canada has come to an end.
After a week-long tour of the country, the royal couple and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte arrived at the airport to begin their journey back home to England.
To the surprise of nobody, the family of four was dressed to impress as they waved goodbye to photographers before taking their seats in their seaplane.
Prince George held dad’s hand as he wore red shorts and a blue sweater over a collared shirt. As for Princess Charlotte, she got a lift from mom while wearing a dress and jacket that matched her older brother’s shorts perfectly.
“Catherine and I are incredibly grateful to the people of Canada for the warmth and hospitality they have extended to our family over the last week,” Prince William said in a statement. “We have loved our time in British Columbia and Yukon and will never forget the beautiful places we have seen and the many people who have been kind enough to come to welcome us in person.”
He continued, “We feel very lucky to have been able to introduce George and Charlotte to Canada. This country will play a big part in the lives of our children and we have created such happy memories for our family during this visit.”
It’s been nothing short of a jam-packed vacation for the famous family who have attended everything from charity events to royal receptions.
But perhaps what caught the attention of most followers was the amount of fun Prince George and Princess Charlotte experienced during their visit. A highlight was Thursday afternoon when the pair participated in a petting zoo.
While the animals grabbed the attention of some youngsters, it was the balloons and bubbles that kept 3-year-old Prince George and his younger sister entertained.
Before saying goodbye on Saturday, both William and Kate also received customized Vancouver Canucks jerseys for their children while attending a charity event.
“Canada is a country of optimism, generosity and unrivalled natural beauty,” the Duke of Cambridge shared. “I hope we have helped all Canadians celebrate what makes this country great. We will see you again soon.”
