Academy Award winners Ryan and Tatum O’Neal are set to document their recent reconciliation for a new TV reality show.

Ah — just what the world needs. More unscripted TV! Whatever to your old-fashioned, run-of-the-mill sitcom?

Lost and Found, which The O’Neals are said to be pitching to a number of small screen networks, will feature the formerly-estranged father/daughter duo, auditioning for acting roles as well as undergoing therapy together, Variety scooped this week. The pair will live together in Ryan’s Malibu home during shooting for the proposed docu-soap.

The co-stars of 1973’s Paper Moon — who have both battled addiction — steered clear of each other for nearly 25 years, largely due to Tatum’s allegations of emotional and physical abuse against her father. Ryan was particularly peeved over Tatum’s penning of the 2004 memoir Paper Life.

Dad and daughter buried the hatchet after Tatum attended the funeral for Ryan’s longtime companion, actress Farrah Fawcett, in 2009. In fact, it had been so many years since Ryan and Tatum had spoken that the aging actor reportedly didn’t recognize her and tried to ask her out for a date until she set him straight.

How Backwoods Barbie of them.
