It has recently been announced by the organizers of World Cup, that the public will be really surprised to find out that the closing ceremony will greatly differ from the opening ceremony which was held in a more traditional African style. This final show will be high-tech and will be featured by world-known pop singer Shakira.

Jermaine Craig, a spokesman for Organizing committee, informs that in comparison with the opening ceremony organized on June 11, the final World Cup event, which will take place at Soccer City on Sunday, will definitely be more technologically advanced and much more youthful.

Jermaine Craig reveals that the show held during nighttime will be accompanied by special effects and decorated with beautiful lighting effects.

It is planned to start the closing ceremony at 6:30 p.m. according to local time. By the way, the final match will begin two hours later.

Shakira, originated from Colombia, will be given an honour to perform “Waka Waka” (in translation sounding as “This Time for Africa”), the official anthem of the tournament. It has been reported that the star participated in a World Cup concert held in Soweto on June 10 with that song.
