It is like going back to the good old days again for Vivek Oberoi. After a gap of 8 years, he and Ram Gopal Verma have teamed for Rakta Charitra. It should be noted that Vivek had made his debut through the Verma film Company.
Similarly, now the actor has agreed to work in the film called Paki which has been written by Mani Ratnam and will be directed by his second hand Shiva.
Earlier, Vivek had worked with Mani Ratnam in two of his films which include Yuva(2004) and Sathiya (2002). Sathiya was a remake movie of the hit film Alai Payuthey which was also a Mani Ratnam film. Ever since Yuva both the actor and the director could not work together.
And now, after Mani Ratnam approached the actor, he happily accepted the role. Interestingly the director of Sathiya who is also very close assistant of Mani Ratnam, Shad Ali is to be the Executive Producer of the film.
The story is based on the real life of a friend of Mani who resides in UK and is a sort of biographical representation. That is the reason why this project is very much dear to Mani Ratnam. Filmi fans are eagerly waiting to watch the magic of this trio on screen.
