Which CW superhero sidekick is the best?

We might tune in every week to watch Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and more DC crime-fighters kick butt and takes names on The CW, but we all know at the end of the day, a hero is only as good as his/her sidekicks.

All of these super-sidekicks save the day on a regular basis, and we’re pretty sure the world would literally end without all of them. However, we can’t help but wonder if put to the test, which one would come out on top as the best sidekick of them all?

John Diggle, ‘Arrow’

Diggle (David Ramsey) may have started out as a sidekick, but we all know he’s more of a partner to Oliver these days. And when Team Arrow needs help solving a government conspiracy, Diggle is the one with the hookup.

Felicity Smoak, ‘Arrow’

How on earth did Oliver ever function without Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards)? Her hacking skills are pretty much irreplaceable at this point, and she’s an integral part of the superhero process.

Cisco Ramon, ‘The Flash’

>Cisco (Carlos Valdez)) is pretty invaluable to almost every superhero on the CW lineup at this point, from building super suits to underground lairs. Don’t even get us started on his Vibe powers.

Caitlin Snow, ‘The Flash’

Without Caitlin’s (Danielle Panabaker) bio-engineering knowledge, half the villains on “The Flash” would have toasted Barry in a minute or less. We’re grateful for Caitlin every day of the week, and you should be too.

Ravi Chakrabarti, ‘iZombie’

Before Ravi (Rahul Kohli) came into her life, Liv (Rose McIver) was walking around like the living dead. Thanks to her charismatic new sidekick, Liv got a second lease on life — so to speak — and a best friend, who always looks on the bright side of things.

Clive Babineaux, ‘iZombie’

Let’s face it, without Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin), Liv wouldn’t even be a crime-fighter at all. He’s been one part mentor, one part sidekick and one part skeptic, but we love all parts of him.

James Olsen, ‘Supergirl’

James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) is always willing to lend a shoulder when Kara needs a heart-to-heart, plus he’s got the Man of Steel on speed dial if she ever needs a helping hand.

Winn Schott, ‘Supergirl’

>Where James provides the heart, Winn (Jeremy Jordan) provides the problem-solving. As a the resident geek of the bunch (and Supergirl suit-builder) Winn hasn’t faced a problem too big to tackle yet, making him pretty super in his own right.

Gideon, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’

The super-powered team on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” are so awesome they mostly don’t even need sidekicks, but we’re still glad they have Rip’s trusty A.I, Gideon. Without her our heroes would probably be history instead of legends.
