We never imagined that one very tight-lipped star would spill about such a personal topic, but Kristen Stewart just proved us wrong when she opened up about her skivvies. She’s not talking about her personal drawer of unmentionables, though; Stewart is sharing details on the underpinnings she wore while filming On the Road.
Stewart tells InStyle.com that the movie’s costume designer, Danny Glicker, took every aspect of the costumes into consideration, right down to the cast’s underwear. “He is so caring and specific about details,” she says. “Even with an article of clothing like an undergarment, he’s like, ‘Do you feel pretty? Do you like the bra? Do you like the socks? Do you like the snaps holding them up?’”
So, what exactly did Stewart’s on-screen undergarments consist of? Costar Kirsten Dunst reveals that the two actresses sported some very retro pieces. “We had high-waisted underwear and bras with a pointed shape,” Dunst admits. “You can tell because of the way your breasts look in the shirts is a more pointed silhouette.” Well, apparently the right bra can make all the difference. Tell us: Are you surprised costume designers even take into consideration the cast’s undergarments?
