‘The Hills’ star Kristin Cavallari has said that the drug abuse allegations against her were just to boost ratings of the show.
“I understand that they need drama for the show and I’m absolutely down to do whatever they need. But that sort of thing is not something to be taken lightly or joke around about,” Radaronline.com quoted Kristin as telling The Block radio show with Tim and Cassie.
“It really started to affect my personal life,” she said.
Rumors began to do the rounds that the 23-year-old had a drug problem when she began wearing her sunglasses inside and had a few wild partying nights in Miami over the Super Bowl weekend.
When asked if she was motivated to risk her reputation and go along with the drug abuse plotline Kristin said, “Yes, but it was without me agreeing to do any of that.”
“MTV relies so heavily on the tabloids that if I’m on the cover of Us Weekly for my alleged drug problem, helps with ratings,” she added.
