Tuned into the new season of American Idol? Neither are we! It seems, though, we’ve been missing out on some very LOL-worthy moments, courtesy of new judge Steven Tyler. At the start of last night’s show, producers of the talent series ran an apology for Tyler’s “outrageous behavior” on a previous broadcast.
The Aerosmith rocker danced himself into Hot Water with Idol bosses last week after he jokingly pointed out the similarities between the F-word and a contestant with the last name “Muck.”
“You know what Muck rhymes with, don’t you?” Tyler, 62, asked.
“Duck?” the crooner replied.
“Read my lips,” Steve countered, mouthing the Grand Puba of the seven words you’re not allowed to say on television.
“American Idol would like to apologize for last week’s outrageous behavior by Steven Tyler,” read the so-called “Black Apology,” which creeped across the screen just before the opening sequence. “Mr. Tyler has been warned and assures us it will never happen again.”
