A former child rap star, a wigged daytime hostess, and an all grown-up Karate Kid will be hoofing it out in pursuit of the coveted Golden Mirrorball Trophy when the 12th season of Dancing With The Stars premieres on ABC March 21.

The cast was announced by Dancing hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke during Monday’s edition of The Bachelor.

“Forget the rumors. The moment of truth has arrived,” Bergeron exclaimed before revealing self-assessed Fat Actress Kirstie Alley, talk show host Wendy Williams, and reality star Kendra Wilkinson will be among the 11 celebrity contestants sparing with former welterweight champ Sugar Ray Leonard, model Petra Nemcova, and Ralph Macchio of the 1984 sleeper hit The Karate Kid.

Also hitting the dance floor will be Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward; professional wrestler Chris Jericho; Dr. Drew’s Loveline co-host Mike Catherwood; and Chelsea Kane of Disney Channel’s Jonas. Even former child rap prodigy Romeo is taking a stab at Dancing. For those not in-the-know, Romeo is the son of arguably one of the worst “talents” to ever hit the ballroom; “Make ‘Em Say “Uhh” hip-hopster Master P, who stunk up the show for an unprecedented five weeks back in 2006.

One buzzed about DWTS candidate that turned out to be a no-go is Tea Party favorite Christine O’Donnell. After asking Facebook fans to vote on whether or not she should accept a proposal to appear on the show, the famed former Delaware Senate candidate torpedoed by “Witch Crafting Dabbling” in the early ’90s ultimate passed on the hit talent show.
