“RuPaul’s Drag U” Trailer [Premiering July 19 On LOGO]

“The Dean of Drag” is sashaying back to the small screen with a femme-centric spinoff to the wildly-popular reality challenge, RuPaul’s Drag Race.

That’s right, RuPaul has finally opened a “school” where style-challenged ladies (the kind who don’t have to tuck and shave) undergo extreme makeovers – drag queen style. With a little help from guest judges like Kris Jenner and Kelly Osbourne, a team of gender-bending “instructors” will be on-hand to guide the gals through a series of challenges that will ultimately lead to a complete swag-overhaul on RuPaul’s Drag U.

“Our pupils are frumpy, shy and anything but self-confident, but with the insight and instruction of Drag Race alums and others, they undergo true transformations, both inside and out,” say producers of the series, which premieres July 19 on The LOGO Network. “Each week, after being schooled in foundation and fierceness, our once demure dames unleash their inner Divas and perform a musical number in front of a live audience that includes their loved ones. It all culminates in a season finale homecoming pageant where the top students go head to head. Only one woman can be valedictorian, but all graduate with sass, self-respect, and the sense that anything is possible.”
