‘Bones’ sees Friday ratings rise

Bones fans continue to migrate to Friday nights. After a weak debut in its new time slot a few weeks ago, Fox’s long-running procedural drama rose in the ratings for the second time last night. On Nov. 15, Bones premiered to a mere 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, then perked up to a 1.5 the following week. Now, after taking the holiday week off, Bones has edged higher to a 1.6, along with 6.8 million total viewers. That’s enough to win the 8 p.m. hour, a position that surely makes Fox pretty happy — the network has long struggled to get a foothold on Friday nights.

Also last night: ABC’s Shark Tank rose to its most-watched episode ever and tied its season high in the demo (7.5 million, 2.0). On CBS, the Grammy Nominations Live concert special was super soft at 10 p.m. (5.3 million, 1.1). NBC’s Grimm (6.4 million, 1.6) matched its last original a couple weeks ago, while Dracula rose slightly from the dead (3.8 million, 1.1). The CW’s Carrie Diaries (953,000, 0.4) and Nikita (846,000, 0.3) were also each up a tenth from their last performances.
