Camille Grammer’s days as one of Bravo’s Real Housewives are done, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The soon-to-be ex-Mrs. Kelsey Grammer has reportedly opted not to renew her contract for a second season on the Beverly Hills-faction of the smash docu-series just a week after reports surfaced claiming that Camille’s castmates were putting pressure on Bravo bosses to fire the tempermental former Playboy centerfold.
“While a second season has yet to be officially announced by the network, a source close to production confirmed that Grammer has decided that she has no interest in participating either way,” The Reporter writes.
Grammer had a bitter on-air feud with fellow Housewife Kyle Richards (ex-child star and aunt of socialites Paris and Nicky Hilton) that led to her falling out with the rest of the cast, Star Magazine scooped on the pages of its Jan. 10 issue.
“They’re all campaigning for her not to come back next season,” a TV industry industry (the kind that talks to tabloids anyway) squealed in a secret chat with Star. “Nobody on the show likes Camille. She’s a total outcast!”
A few names are already being floated around as potential replacements, if the tabloid is to be believed.
Among the contenders are Los Angeles psychic-to-the-stars Allison DuBois, who dished out plenty of drama when she guest-starred on the program earlier this season, and Shawn Southwick, the sometimes suicidal wife of broadcasting legend Larry King. Though Shawn’s bid to be part of the original cast was initially unsuccessful, Bravo bosses are reportedly changing their tune about the former singer.
