It has become known that all charges have been dismissed by a judge against two surfers who were blamed on attacking paparazzi at the time when they were taking pictures of a famous actor – Matthew McConaughey. That incident happened on a Malibu beach about two years ago.

As Sandi Gibbons, spokeswoman for district attorney of Los Angeles County, informs the press that all the charges were dropped on Friday. On that day prosecutors came to a decision not to start a third trial hearing against those aggressive surfers. Moreover, even a jury deadlocked and didn’t find out whether those guys were guilty or not last month. Just to remind the readers of the charges brought against the surfers: Philip Hildebrand and Skylar Peak were accused of the misdemeanor battery.

In other words, Hildebrand and Peak were charged with assaulting several celebrity photographers who were noticed on a Malibu beach taking shots of the “Fool’s Gold” star.

In Harland Braun’s opinion, who is Skylar Peak’s attorney, the investigation carried out in connection with that case was poor, and he believes, that it never should have been started. Harland Braun added that paparazzi had used the video of the fight in order to implicate poor surfers.
