Celebrity Moms Mariah Carey Victoria Beckham Shelling Out Big Bucks For Baby Nurseries

Fashionably expecting divas Mariah Carey and Victoria Beckham are sparing no expense when it comes to the enclaves where their young children will spend most of their time after they deliver later this year.

Victoria, 36, is currently pregnant with her and her husband David Beckham’s fourth child and have reportedly handed over nearly $300,000 on a professional interior decorator, who is working on a bunny-themed room for the tot. They’ve also ordered a rocking chair and cashmere robe from Petit Tresor and are stocking up on blankets from Little Giraffe following a recommendation from friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Britain’s Daily Star reports.

“She hasn’t looked at a price tag for a single thing she’s bought. If she wants it she gets it, no questions asked!” says a friend. “Believe me, that baby will be surrounded in luxury from the minute she, or he, comes home from hospital.”

Meanwhile, Mariah, 40, due to give birth to a boy and a girl in late April, has converted an entire wing of her Beverly Hills home into a Petit Tresor-accented nursery, tipsters tell Britain’s Now! Magazine.

“Mariah wanted 18-carat gold trim with ivory walls, soft furnishings and walk-in wardrobes full of Petit Trésor designer clothes,” says one source. “There’s a top-of-the-range sound system and they’ll each have diamond-encrusted iPods and a flatscreen TV that comes down from the ceiling.”

The spy adds: “There’s a $1million red-crushed velvet, 24-carat gold and onyx sofa used for Michael Jackson’s shows. It’s very Alice In Wonderland with swags on the back. Mariah has waited a long time for her baby dreams to come true.”
