Charlie Sheen Hospitalized With Abdominal Pains

Charlie Sheen checked into a Los Angeles hospital this morning after falling ill with what his rep calls a fit of abdominal pains.

A vomitting Sheen was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles following an emergency call to 911 at just after 6 AM PT this morning. The actor’s father, Martin Sheen, and his mother, Janet, are now at the facility with him.

“He was having severe abdominal pains and went to the hospital,” Sheen’s longtime publicist, Stan Rosenfield, said Thursday.

Sheen hosted a get together of several people at his LA home overnight, according to TMZ, who first reported the hospitalization. Two women left the actor’s home at the same time he was put into an ambulance en route to the medical facility. Sheen’s hospitalization comes mere hours after his Two and A Half Men co-star, Jon Cryer, admitted he checks the Sheen news online before heading to work on the CBS sitcom.

“The stuff you hear is just unbelievable,” Cryer told TBS’ Conan O’Brien. “I’m checking TMZ, as I do every day, to know if I have to go to work at all,” Cryer said, before being interrupted by fits of laughter from the live audience.

Lurid accounts of Sheen’s drugs-fuelled, over-sexed personal life have been featured on entertainment news sites on an almost daily basis in the months since he trashed a New York City hotel room and held an escort hostage last fall.
