Former American Idol contestant Chris Daughtry and his wife Deanna welcomed fraternal twins via surrogate Wednesday.
The Daughtry frontman, 30, became a father for the third and fourth time when twins Adalynn and Noah made their big debut. Daughter Adalynn Rose arrived at 11:06 AM and son Noah James came around 11:25 AM.
“Adalynn Rose weighs 6 pounds and 5 ounces and was born first at 11:06 AM EDT; Noah James weighs 5 pounds and 5 ounces and was born second at 11:25 AM EDT,” the rocker wrote on his website. “Our family is overwhelmed with joy by these two precious gifts from God. The babies are both healthy and resting. Thanks to everyone for their love and prayers.”
The babies were conceived via IVF and – due to Deanna’s partial hysterectomy four years ago – were transferred to a gestational surrogate who carried them to term. They join older sister Hannah, 14, and brother Griffin, 12.
Daughtry — a former car dealership employee — has been married to Deanna since Nov. 2000.
