Chris von Hoffmann to Direct ‘The Unheard’ From ‘Crawl’
“Monster Party” director Chris von Hoffmann will direct the horror movie “The Unheard,” an current spec script from “Crawl” scribes Michael and Shawn Rasmussen, a person with information of the challenge informed TheWrap.
The Rasmussen brothers will even govt produce the challenge. Burn Later Productions, which produced movies just like the Sundance entries “Hearts Beat Loud” and “Drinking Buddies,” in addition to Regina Hall’s “Support the Girls,” is producing the movie. David Bernon, Sam Slater and Paul Bernon of Burn Later Productions are producing with Andrew Corkin (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”).
Von Hoffmann’s different credit embody “Drifter,” in addition to the shorts “The Kidnap,” “White Trash” and “Fuel Junkie.” He is represented by CAA and Grandview Management.

The Rasmussens wrote “Long Distance” and “The Ward,” and served as administrators, producers and writers on each “Dark Feed” and “The Inhabitants.”
Their most up-to-date challenge, “Crawl,” opened final weekend and grossed $12 million its opening weekend. It starred Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper and acquired rave evaluations by critics, scoring “fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes. Alexandre Aja directed.
