Cinemax hosts the 13th MAMI Film Festival
Versova & Sion to showcase movies; Shyam Benegal shares insights on global cinema

Cinemax, one of the leading multiplex chains in India today announced its association as the multiplex partner for the second time with one of the most prestigious film festivals; Mumbai Academy of Moving Images (MAMI) in its 13th year at a curtain raiser press conference held at Hotel Sun & Sand, Juhu.
The impressive line-up of about 200 films will be screened at two major Cinemax properties Sion and Versova. Cinemax is a hub for movie enthusiasts and to ensure enhanced services, the complete schedule on online booking to festival will be available on the cinemax home website.. The exciting line-up of movies at the festival combined with the state-of-the-art facilities, hi-technology auditoriums, lighting and acoustic sound systems will offer patrons a complete cinematic experience
The movies to be showcased were announced at the event amongst a lot of fanfare by eminent film maker and chairman Shyam Benegal. This week long festival starting 13th October 2011 will showcase world’s most popular contemporary movies across various genres to culminate on 20th October 2011. The Brad Pitt starrer ‘Moneyball’ will be the opening film and ‘Dolphin Tale’ will be the closing film at the festival.
