The Cyber-shot S 2100 is the only compact camera of Sony that features AA batteries. It has similar shape found on most AA-powered compacts. It is not so compare to its slim AA-powered compacts, but, in fact, it does not take up a lot of room. The weight of the camera is around 6.5 ounces.
It is able to support standard SD and SDHC memory cards. It comes with controls located on the right side of the LCD. They consist of four-way controller, i.e. there is a four-way controller which is surrounded by three smaller circular buttons dedicated for menu, playback mode and delete. Controls are easy to use. The four-way control provides shortcuts to smile shutter sensitivity, flash settings, self-time, and display settings. The camera boasts of the following shooting modes: iAout mode, Easy mode, Progrm mode, and Movie Mode.
The device integrates a 3.0-inch LCD and supports a 230,400 dot composition. The camera is available with 3x optical zoom which covers an equivalent range of 35-105mm. With the help of the 3x zoom lens you are enabled with enough focal range in order to help frame objects across a room in a better way. In general the image quality is good as the S2100 spots a 1/2.3-inch Super HAD sensor. It is able to shoot videos at the maximum 640×480 resolution that offers about average quality
