David Arquette Rehab

Party-hardy star David Arquette has checked into rehab as he continues to cope with his separation from actress wife Courteney Cox.

David has been partying up a storm — ie: cavorting with bikini babes, dancing on tables, getting tats on Twitter — and being very unkind to his liver since getting the boot from a frustrated Courteney last fall. It’s that dependency on alcohol, as well as “other issues,” that prompted David to check himself into an undisclosed treatment center over the holiday weekend, tipsters say.

After ringing in 2011 at Los Angeles’ Roosevelt Hotel on New Year’s Eve, David checked himself in for in-patient therapy, says a source.

One friend notes that Arquette figured he had nothing to lose after the ungracious way he handled his split from Courteney. The 39-year-old had a colorful stay in Miami recently, and wanted to share it with the world via a series of cellphone photos. David’s also met the displeasure of a number of Cox fans after he called into The Howard Stern Show no less than three times to boo-hoo about the bust-up.

“I know people think I’ve flipped my lid but I haven’t,” he Tweeted alongside photos of himself going wild. “I’m cool. Listen to Bob Marley’s ‘Soul Rebel’, you’ll know where I’m comin from.”

David and Courteney are the parents of one daughter, Coco, 6.
