Even Australian dancer Kym Johnson couldn’t save clumsy David Hasselhoff from an early demise on the new season of Dancing With The Stars.

The former Knight Rider actor was the first celebrity to get the boot on the ABC dance competition, a day after his cha-cha to Tom Jones’ “Sex Bomb” caused judge Len Goodman to hold up his hands and exclaim: “It’s never too early to panic.”

Comedienne Margaret Cho and Jersey Shore Jersey Shore stud Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino also scored a lowly 15 on Monday, but picked up enough votes from the viewing public to stay alive in the competition. At the end of the one-hour live results show, it came down to Hasselhoff and Disney star Kyle Massey, who won over the judges with his spot-on cha-cha performance.

“It’s been a great ride and I feel bad for [dance pro partner] Kym Johnson because she works so hard to get me going,” the ex-Baywatch star said after learning the results. He also thanked his daughters, Taylor Ann and Hayley, who urged him to sign up for the show.

“I’m so proud that my daughters are here and they got to see me come this far.”

Dancing host Tom Bergeron said it was a big surprise to learn that one of Season 11’s biggest-names would go out first. Online bookies had rated the Hasselhoff-Johnson combination the third best chance of winning.

“It’s almost like America’s Got Talent payback,” the former talent show judge exclaimed.
