In a public statement last week, Levi Johnston apologized to his almost in-laws, The Palins, for what he described as “youthful trangressions” that inspired him to spew lies about the First Family of Conservatism in the wake of his split with high school sweetheart Bristol more than a year ago. However, Sarah & Co. may not be in a forgiving sort of mood once they hear that Levi, 20, has reportedly been bragging to friends about bedding comedienne spitfire Kathy Griffin, 49.

Kathy’s interest in the teen dad began in the Summer of 2009 after Johnston began making headlines by revealing behind-the-scenes secrets about former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin — the grandmother of his young son, Tripp. Levi’s pals say the pair engaged in secret sex romps on numerous occasions, beginning last August, when the fiery redhead had the strapping Alaskan escort her to the 2009 Teen Choice Awards, according to The National Enquirer edition of the July 19. The tabloid tattle claims the affair continued after the star of Bravo’s Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List performed a live stand-up show in Anchorage, Alaska on March 5.

A well-placed tipster spills to The Enquirer: “Levi said that he hooked up with Kathy when he visited Los Angeles for the Teen Choice Awards, and again when she went to Alaska with her stand-up comedy show….Bristol had no idea that Levi actually had sex with Kathy — she thought it was all a joke. Bristol is going to freak when she finds out the truth.”
