The multiverse within the title is an attention-grabbing element. “Spider-Man: Far From Home” featured the villain Mysterio, who (spoiler) claimed to be from an alternate earth in one other dimension. Of course, it turned out that he was truly simply a particularly expert con artist who made the entire thing up.
But the unique “Doctor Strange” did truly contain actual multiverse components — Strange needed to journey into the Dark Dimension, residence of Dormammu, so as to save the earth from destruction. So multidimensional doings are completely in his wheelhouse. But we’ll all nonetheless have to attend till 2021 to see simply how this shakes out.
