Addiction specialist Dr. Drew, best known for his stints hosting the longrunning radio call-in show Loveline and VH1′s Celebrity Rehab and Sex Rehab, will front an all-new series on HLN next spring, the network formerly known as CNN’s Headline News said in an announcement Monday.

The program will see the certified doctor and television personality discussing a wide range of issues with a live audience. Dr. Drew says he’s thrilled at the prospect of working with the network, describing the deal as a “natural fit.” Pinsky says he’s looking forward to the chance to “really explain the choices that people make.”

“I am thrilled to join HLN and I have no doubt that the natural fit I feel at the network will provide the opportunity to explore the stories behind the story and really explain the choices that people make,” the Sober Living host remarked in a presser confirming news of his newest small screen venture.

“Dr Drew informs and inspires audiences on subjects that matter most to them and their families, and he is an ideal fit for the HLN network,” HLN Vice-President Scot Safon added. “Dr Drew will shed light, provide crucial information and give viewers something to talk – and think – about.”

HLN wouldn’t say where Pinsky’s untitled chatfest will fit in its schedule — but a rerun of Nancy Grace’s 8 PM show currently airs each night at 10 PM, it’s possible Drew could find a home there.
