Ellen Page Heads to The East
September 29, 2011
Page will join Brit Marling, who co-wrote the project alongside Zat Batmanglij (who will also direct) and Alexander Skarsgard in the dramatic thriller, which is said is to focus on a group of eco terrorists led by Skarsgard’s character. Marling would play a law enforcement agent who goes undercover to infiltrate the group. Page’s part is that of Izzy, a member of the terrorist group (called “The East”) that was formerly romantically involved with Skarsgard’s character.
Page is still best known for her title role in 2007’s Juno. Recently, she appeared in Christopher Nolan’s Inception and James Gunn’s Super. Coming up, she’s slated to play a role in Woody Allen’s next, The Bop Decameron.
