‘Empire,’ ‘Gotham,’ ‘Lucifer’ & ‘The Exorcist’ join together: ‘Evil is just warm…
FOX is gearing up for its fall 2016 TV season with a spooky new promo highlighting three returning shows that all feature a delicious bad guy at their center — and welcoming a new show to the band.
In our exclusive “Evil is just warming up” promo, Tom Ellis of “Lucifer,” Terrence Howard of “Empire” and Robin Lord Taylor of “Gotham” each take a seat at a piano to plink out some famously scary music — “Tubular Bells” from “The Exorcist,” the 1973 horror film being re-imagined as a TV series on FOX this fall.

When the three FOX staples return, Lucifer and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) are hunting their evil mom who escaped Hell; the Lyon family is mourning the loss of either Anika (Grace Gealey) or Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday); and Hugo Strange’s (B.D. Wong) monsters are terrorizing Gotham City.

As for “The Exorcist,” Academy Award winner Geena Davis stars as Angela Rance, a Chicago woman who suspects her household has fallen victim to demonic possession. She enlists the help of two priests: The young, progressive Father Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and the older, holy warrior Father Marcus Keane (Ben Daniels).
It promises to be a dark ride on FOX this fall. “Gotham” and “Lucifer” return Monday, Sept. 19, “Empire” is back Wednesday, Sept. 21 and “The Exorcist” joins in the fun on Friday, Sept. 23.
