First Official 'Ocean's 8' Image Confirms Sandra Bullock's Character Is Rel…
The first official image from Ocean’s 8 has arrived online, and though the film doesn’t arrive in theaters until June 8, 2018 (yes, we said 2018, not 2017), we now have a tantalizing look at the exciting female-led ensemble along with the film’s synopsis, confirming Sandra Bullock’s character is indeed related to George Clooney’s Danny Ocean. Previous rumors have indicated that she is playing his sister.
Here’s the shot WB posted on Instagram, which does beg the question: um, how exactly did those ladies get their own subway car in New York City?
The official synopsis reads as follows:
Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ first look at “Ocean’s 8” from one of New York City’s most iconic locales: the subway. In Summer 2018, the tide will turn as (L-r) Debbie Ocean (#SandraBullock) attempts to pull off the heist of the century at New York City’s star-studded annual Met Gala. Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou (#CateBlanchett); Nine Ball (Rihanna @badgalriri); Amita (@MindyKaling); Constance (@Awkwafina); Rose (#HelenaBonhamCarter); Daphne Kluger (@AnneHathaway); and Tammy (@MsSarahCatharinePaulson).
As far as which previous Ocean’s stars will make a cameo, we’re not sure yet. Matt Damon’s Linus Caldwell is listed in the credits on IMDB, so he’s a possibility, as is George Clooney’s Danny Ocean and Brad Pitt’s Rusty Ryan. Though don’t look for the dudes to show up in too big of a way — this one is driven by the ladies, after all, in what is easily one of the most exciting female-driven ensembles we’ve seen… ever?
Ocean’s 8 hits theaters on June 8, 2018.
