The network confirmed Sunday that it has cancelled the once-popular reality show that followed celebrity chef Duff Goldman and the colorful staff of his Baltimore bakery, Charm City Cakes. The series debuted in 2006 and has proven popular with viewers throughout its nine-season run and has enjoyed periods as the top-rated show on The Food Network.
The show’s upcoming 10th season will be its last, series producers said over the weekend.
“All good things must come to an end, and the final season of Ace Of Cakes will begin on air in January,” Food Network General Manager and Senior Vice-President Bob Tuschman said in brief statement confirming the show’s departure.
The network also confirmed that they are in the process of looking for a new project to star Goldman.
